Evensong Midwifery & Wellness

My journey to midwifery started while I was working as a massage therapist when I found a deep connection to my pregnant patients. The childbearing year is so transformative I knew I wanted to support this transition full time. In 2004, I started working in a freestanding birth center and home birth practice. I immediately knew I had found my passion in midwifery.

After spending several years working as a registered nurse in home birth, birth centers, and hospitals, I completed my master's degree in midwifery at Frontier Nursing University in 2018. Since then, I have had the joy of supporting families grow both in hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

When I was introduced to functional medicine, I felt like this connected my roots in holistic health and traditional Chinese medicine to my western medicine education. This system addresses the root cause of dis-ease and treats the whole person; physically, emotionally and spiritually. It has been a great addition to my practice for women of all ages and stages of life.

In my personal life, I am the mother of three — a son and twin daughters. During harvest season, you can find me at my family's apple orchard or hunting. As a family, we love to travel, explore national parks, and bake lots of sourdough.
