We are the only freestanding birth center in Chippewa Valley. Our birth center has a beautiful history extending back to the early 1900s, when it was the Molitor Maternity Hospital and most recently, Morningstar Birth Center.
Using the Midwifery Model of Care, we see birth as a normal physiologic process that should not be rushed. We focus on proper informed consent so you can have the birth you want, while being supported in a safe place.
We have a team of highly-skilled and talented midwives, birth assistants and providers who are ready to listen to you and provide the best care possible.
-
We do! The first step is to schedule your consultation with a midwife to discuss your previous cesarean.
-
Absolutely. We have two water birth suites and the ability to set up a third water birth room, if needed.
-
Each midwife practice has a different cost for their midwifery prenatal & birth package. Please contact them directly to see their compensation details.
There is a separate facility fee, with the ability to be reimbursed by insurance. Families who choose to pay out of pocket receive a 90% discount.
-
We do! However, we do not take Medicaid/Medicare for the facility fee portion.
Please connect with your midwife to further discuss insurance coverage for their care package.
-
No problem. Before your first prenatal appointment, you will be in contact with our Birth Center Integrator, who will get a verification of benefits over to you and further discuss your benefit details and potential coverage.
We are an open model, freestanding birth center. This means there are two different (and separate) costs when billing your insurance: 1) There is a midwife care package and 2) Facility fee.
Your insurance will not be billed until after delivery. Any insurance reimbursement for the facility fee portion will be reimbursed to you by TruLiving Birth Center. Any insurance reimbursement for the midwife care package will be reimbursed and communicated through your midwife.
-
If you transfer out of care during labor at TruLiving Birth Center, you will be charged the full facility fee and cost of care. Upon discharge from the hospital, your midwife will continue postpartum and newborn care for six weeks.
